The Clothing Show invites artists from ANY MEDIUM to join us in creating a no cost, no commission marketplace and gallery at the upcoming Fall 2009 show.

Painting, sculpture, performance, photography & videography… All are welcome to exhibit their works throughout the 3 day event. Art is not required to be fashion related.

Throughout the weekend, we anticipate a public attendance of over 10,000
people.

*Weather Update* GET TOGETHER: TCA in the park (August 30)

SURE THE WEATHER IS SKETCHY, BUT WE’RE GONNA THROW CAUTION TO THE WIND AND HOPE THAT THE RAIN GOD GODS CO-OPERATE AND HOLD OFF.  SEE BELOW FOR RAIN PLANS….

*Update* Rain Plans: Tequila Bookworm, 512 Queen Street West, indoors, upstairs. Look for the TCA banner. Same time (2-5 pm), same day (August 30th).
Bring crafts, but no snacks.

The Regional Assembly of Text is a shop in Vancouver, British Columbia run by artists Rebecca Doren and Brandy Fedoriuk.  An homage to all things text-y, the Assembly sells handmade wares such as t-shirts, artist books, notebooks and journals, stationary and buttons, all off which combine a vintage aesthetic with a pointedly DIY approach.  The space also features awesome programming such as a monthly Letter Writing Club, as well as an in-house zine library and gallery.  I was lucky enough visit the shop last month, and spoke with [...]
