AN OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:

THE UGLY(EST) WINTER SWEATER EXHIBITION

Ctrllab invites you to submit your ugliest winter sweater for our 1st annual charitable holiday event. The sweater can be one which has been long-lost in the deep, dark, depths of your closet or one which you have chosen to manipulate/create. The initiative is to host a fun and lively one night event with contests/prizes including live performances, art, and music.

The one night exhibition will be held on evening of Friday the 11th of December 2009. The selected ugly sweaters will be treated like true pieces of art by hanging and lighting them on our gallery walls. We will ask every selected sweater owner to have ready a short paragraph about the relationship or first encounter between their sweater and themselves. Every sweater will be returned after the event.

DEADLINE: Applications must be received by Friday, November 27th, 2009 at 5pm.
Submissions must include:
1. A digital image of your sweater. Jpeg format suggested, not exceeding 2 MB or 1024 x 768 pixels
2. Contact information including: Name, email, and phone number
3. Email submission to ctrllab@gmail.com
