Winter Fling…A Craft Thing
Saturday, December 5, 2009
11 a.m.- 6p.m. St. Stephen-in-the-Fields

Another craft show? Yes, but this one is different. We swear! Winter Fling…A Craft Thing, led by a group of avid Toronto craftspeople, will host 20+ makers at a new indie holiday arts & crafts show. Partnering with BUST magazine, Sublime Stitching, Glitter Pie Art Studio, Canvas Media and more, we know that community awareness will help this event thrive. Buy local. Buy handmade. Skip the middleman and support your neighbour.

Winter Fling welcomes shoppers to an embraceable school dance-themed afternoon filled with snowy decorations, DJs playing tunes and early handmade holiday shopping to be had. The all-ages event includes raffles, one-of-a-kind “loot bags” at the door and a bounty of locally handcrafted items including jewelry, knitwear, paper goods, great stuff for children, art and more. Whomever you might want a gift for (including yourself), we guarantee you can find it at Winter Fling.

Winter Fling is organized by the crafty minds behind Kid Icarus, Comfortably Lovely, Jordynn Mackenzie, Krecklo Designs and Moonlight for Violet. We encourage you to visit www.aCraftThing.com to find out more about the history behind the event (a follow-up to Spring Fling…A Craft Thing held in Metro Detroit; Detroit’s first ever Spring craft show).

For interviews, photos (poster/Team members) or more information please contact us at aCraftThing@gmail.com.

Team A Craft Thing plans on putting on shows throughout the seasons and the year, as well as a range of matter to bring continual traffic to the website.
