For sale: Brother industrial 4 thread serger in great condition. It is a fabulous machine but it is a bit more heavy duty than I require for my purposes.

This serger has enough power to sew through leather or carpet but it can also serge silk with nice, even stitches with no pulling. It would be ideal for a serious sewer who is already comfortable with a conventional home serger but would like more speed, power and durability.

The Toronto Church of Craft is hosting a very special workshop happening this Sunday at The Workroom (1340 Queen Street W.).  Lovely proprietor of Pleasurecraft, Kristyn Woodfine, is making a trip to our metropolis from the idyllic wilds of eastern Ontario to teach us to spin yarn! On a spindle!

We’ll be congregating at 3pm on Sunday, February 28. The workshop will follow the regularly scheduled programming of Quilt Sunday (1-3pm).
