Presented in partnership by the Made of Wood Show and the Ontario Crafts Council
All woodworkers are invited to apply for the 9th annual Made of Wood Show, taking place in the village of Erin, Ontario from April 17 to May 9, 2010. This exhibition will highlight a selection of Canada’s finest woodworkers and will run in conjunction with wood demonstrations, seminars and workshops in the community of Erin.
All varieties of woodworking will be accepted for review including cabinetry, marquetry, turning, wood engraving, sculptural and functional, with the final works chosen according to excellence, design, use of material, creativity and innovation. This engaging exhibition will contribute a diverse and exciting display of professional work to the event’s celebration of “all things wood”. The Made of Wood Show is sponsored by the Ontario Crafts Council, the Erin B.I.A, the Paul Morin Gallery and the Burdette Gallery.

The Made of Wood Show will only be accepting online applications for this call for entry. To apply, please download the entry form below and email it along with your images to submissions@madeofwoodshow.com.
There is a $35 fee for entry. This may be paid by using the PayPal* button here: www.madeofwoodshow.com, or by sending your cheque made out to the Ontario Crafts Council and mailed to the following address:

Requirements
1. A completed application form with accompanying digital images must be received by email at submissions@madeofwoodshow.com by Monday, March 15, 2010, 5:00pm.
2. To enter, your work must be made from at least 80% wood and you must be a permanent resident of Canada.
3. All entries must be original, completed within the last 5 years, and not shown previously in this juried exhibition.
4. You may submit up to 2 works with 3 digital images per entry. (Please see the entry form section on photography for more information regarding the digital images.) A set of multiples such as a sculptural group, will be considered as one work.
5. A work may not be withdrawn from the exhibition once it has been accepted.
6. Your submission must include an artist statement, C.V. and biography.
7. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.

All works will be juried according to excellence, design, use of material, creativity and innovation.
Work Accepted Into The Exhibition
1. All accepted work must remain in the exhibition until the show has ended.
2. Notification of acceptance will be by email only. Accepted applicants will receive an email in late March detailing further requirements such as delivery times, delivery location and shipping instructions.
3. If the work is for sale, the Made of Wood Show will receive a 40% commission on all sales. The remainder (60%) will be paid to the artists by June 15, 2010.
4. Unsold works may be picked up or arrangements can be made for delivery after the show. Delivery and return of work will be at the artist’s expense.
5. Accepted pieces will be covered for their insured value while part of the juried exhibition. Insurance while the pieces are in transit is the responsibility of the applicant.
6. Application to the Made of Wood Show 2010 Juried Exhibition indicates agreement with the terms and conditions listed above.
