CRAFT SHOW: Make It Show (June 5)
by rosalyn
The first-ever Make It Show is being held on Saturday June 5, 2010 at Beaver Hall Gallery. Make It is open to the public between 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Beaver Hall Gallery is located at 29 McCaul St., Toronto.
Make It is a one-day showcase that will highlight works for sale by local artists, designers and craftspeople. Proceeds from entrance donations and a raffle of the participants’ work will benefit the Furniture Bank.
The Furniture Bank helps people who find themselves in bad situations to re-establish a home thanks to generous donations from individuals and organizations. By supplying them with furniture and household goods, the Furniture Bank changes lives and provides the necessary resources it takes to help others live in a more dignified manner.
Visitors can check out works for sale from over 15 vendors. Vendors will be showcasing a wide range of item including paintings, furniture, jewelry, clothing, one-of-a-kind housewares and accessories. Plus, visitors can also buy tasty baked goods and guests will be treated to music from local DJ Matt Gracie. Participants have donated pieces of their work to be raffled off and all funds will be donated to the Furniture Bank.

This should be a great event! I’ll be selling my wares alongside some fabulous makers. Stop by and say hello if you’re in the neighborhood :)

Hi makers, I’m involved in setting up a fablab/do space to help creative people make their ideas real. Help us out by filling out a survey and let us know what you need in a space to build your projects.
