Ryerson University, School of Fashion invites you to be a part of the 2010 Julian Roberts Subtraction Cutting Tour. On Monday June 14th, Julian Roberts, world-renowned fashion designer, will be at the Ryerson University Campus during his North American Tour. The day includes an hour-long Lecture at 6:30pm on 245 Church Street, Room # ENG103; Reception at 7:30pm and Fashion Exhibit at 8:00pm on 55 Gould Street, Room #SCC 115. The event begins with an hour-long lecture from Julian Roberts the inventor of subtraction cutting, scholar, professor, host, filmmaker, and designer. During this lecture Julian will Cut and Sew three garments live on stage in just one hour. Have you ever seen this before? This lecture will provide a first hand opportunity to sharpen your minds with the inside knowledge of pattern making methods by Julian Roberts. This experience will help you to think outside the box and enhance your creativity.

Following the lecture, an elegant reception provides an opportunity to meet and greet Julian Roberts. The reception will draw special attention through a fashion exhibit featuring Julian Roberts designs. Katherine Soucie, a Vancouver designer and follower of Julian Roberts will hallmark her brand by showcasing at the reception as well.

Net proceeds from this event will benefit the Master of Arts (MA) degree in fashion commencing Fall 2010 at The School of Fashion.
