This work is from her exploration of catholic and religious imagery while a student at NSCAD University, and have since moved back to her hometown of London, Ontario and visited the church she attended growing up, St. Patrick’s Parish. The patterns used are taken from the lace-like confessional screens at St. Patrick’s. She is interested in the significance of decoration in religious iconography and correlate it, through her work, to the historical significance of decoration in textile art.
