FROM THE DESK OF TCA: Howdy.
by jen

Hello! by Major Clanger, on Flickr
It’s a funny thing about TCA, even though there are thousands reading, we don’t get many comments on posts, unless they involve big announcements or juicy giveaways. I don’t have a post prepared for today and I thought I’d check in with you guys, casual styles, and invite you to say hello right back!
So if you’re reading this, don’t be shy…say hey in the comments – and if you feel like it let us know a bit about yourself… what you like making, what you are thinking about these days, what’s really floating your boat in Toronto craft or beyond. And if you’re ever inspired by a post you see here and have a thoughts to share (even “this sounds awesome!”), please know that it really charges our batteries to hear from you, for reals.

Hi. I read because I want to know about craft sales and exhibits. Personally, I do some needlecrafts, sew and paint for pleasure. I’m glad you’re back BTW

I’m a printmaker and I avidly read TCA! I’m glad you guys started it up again! But no, I never comment. Why, I don’t know. Insert some kind of Canadian stereotype here?

Hey girls. I read your blog regularly, looking for calls for submission and various crafty sales and happenings around Toronto. As for myself, I am a textile artist who enjoys making clothing and quilts (both professionally and for fun), and I like to post fashion tutorials on my blog. Also happy to have you guys back!

Hi there,
I’m a printmaker too (and I do other visual art and sew as well). I’m also ‘Captain’ of the Toronto Etsy Street Team and want to keep our team up to date about vender calls and the like. I’ve been known to comment sometimes. I think the TCA is awesome. Keep up the good work!
Best,
Ele (aka minouette)

I envy all of the talent that I find here. I may never match it, but it’s still an inspiration!
Thanks for putting so much energy and love into the site.

Hi!
Sorry I’m so shy about replies. I’m shy in real life too, but check the site all the time for your great posts, show announcements, etc!

Hi back! I like checking out your site for Toronto happenings, to learn about new artists and calls for submission. I do a lot of photography and have started with zines and crochet in the last little bit. I’ve really been into Emma Lamb’s crocheted garlands (http://www.emmallamb.blogspot.com) lately. I’ve always been a bit fan of the photography of Sandra Juto (http://www.flickr.com/photos/cloudberryterrier) and Brian Ferry (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bferry).
