Double congrats are in order as Sandra and Ross of Square Foot are not only celebrating the 9th anniversary of this incredibly popular show, but also the birth of their little boy!  One seriously amazing addition to their collection of little beauties, to be sure.

AWOL Gallery is seeking submissions for Toronto’s most anticipated summer group show!

AWOL Gallery is once again planning for The Square Foot Show, an annual group exhibition of hundreds of local, national, and international artists in all media. It is an incredible networking event for artists to gain exposure to collectors, curators, media, other artists and the general public. This is Square Foot’s ninth year and the AWOL Collective is aiming to make this one the best ever! We will hold The Square Foot Show at a NEW off-site venue called TWIST Gallery at 1100 Queens St. West, with a satellite exhibit at AWOL Gallery at 76 Ossington. Together these venues can accommodate both the numerous artworks and the hundreds of people who come to view this exhibit every year – In 2010 over 500 artists participated with over 1200 pieces exhibited!

Join us for Square Foot 2011 and help us make this the most celebrated Square Foot exhibition to date!

Our Registration deadline is firm, register early and get started on your piece! And although it sounds like a lot, this year we are capping the number of participants at 500. Please forward this message to any artists you feel may be interested in taking part.

SHOW DATES: Saturday August 6th– August 21st, 2011
Press & Collector’s Gala Night (ticketed event): Friday, August 5th at 7pm
ARTISTS RECEPTION: Saturday August 6th, 2011, 7pm
*On Saturday August 6th, the exhibition will be open from 12-6pm and close from 6-7pm for reception preparation.
Gallery Hours: Wednesday– Saturday 12 – 7pm & Sunday 12 – 5 pm.
