I just read a short review on Akimblog of this knitty little exhibition of work by none other than local craft hero Kristin Ledgett of The Knit Cafe! I’m kicking myself about not finding out about this sooner. The show comes down in just a few days, so race over to Harbord Street and check it out before it disappears.

For questions or to register, please reach KOZO studio at [...]

Change of seasons spring

Around the city, the change of season is certainly sensed in the present tense this week. For those of us not as fond of the colder months, a visit to local screen print artist, Geneviève Jodouin‘s, new exhibition Change of Seasons may be in order. Her 175 sequential figure drawings walk viewers through a year in the city as the urban backdrop changes form and the figure in the foreground changes clothes. Me, I might like to [...]

Crafternoon Tea was the very first craft show I sold at in Toronto, and as someone who loves tea, tea-related treats, and customers with a geniune appreciation for handmade works, it was a great experience for me. Now in its 7th year, CT is still bringing sweet treats and handmade holiday goodness to the east end. Read on for details, and check out the poster at the bottom for a primer on independent holiday shows happening all over [...]
