Eco-Art & Media Festival – Call for Submissions

The 2009 Eco Art & Media Festival Call for Submissions Form is now available to be downloaded. The festival takes place the week of April 14-19, 2009. The application form is due FRIDAY, MARCH 27th.

We are looking for creative submissions of visual art, film, video, sound, new media, performance, participatory workshops etc. from members of the FES and wider York University community. See below for a description of this year’s theme.

By the end of this three hour workshop you will have learned to make three different sizes/shapes of beads from magazines, as well as basic stringing, wire working and jewellery design techniques. Geared towards beginner jewelrrery makes, but anyone with an enthusiasm for craft is welcome

I am a bit of a compulsive plastic bag avoider (which has lead to many a purse covered in bulk peanut butter & curious stares from passersby as I attempt to transport more than I can possibly carry sans bag), so I was really excited when I came across these Canadian-made eco bulk bags on sköna life.
