<p>There is something that really appeals to me about the idea of a &#8220;stuff-swap&#8221; event where you never know what you&#8217;ll walk away with.  It kind of reminds me of a childhood birthday party game from where we&#8217;d pick a number to determine the order in which we got to choose a wrapped package from a pile or steal someone elses (still wrapped) package.  Once everyone had picked we opened our prizes, but the anticipation of the unknown was always more satisfying then the prize itself.</p>
