Polaris posters Kid IcarusDesigners (clockwise): Doublenaut, Edmund Lam, Pat Hamou, and Anouk Pennel/Reek

I am super digging this limited edition series of screen printed posters (printed by Kid Icarus) that celebrate the nominees for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize.  The Kids invited 10 different designers to create posters for each nominee – see all of them (and buy one if you fall in love!) in their online shop, and check out the artists up [...]

Tea Time
Tea Time by - luz -, on Flickr

Having Tealish – my favourite tea spot – down the street from me is one of the things I am missing about Toronto, and I was happy to receive their most recent newsletter about growing and brewing herbal teas in my inbox.   One of the things I am loving about our new Hamilton digs is watching plants and flowers reveal their identities one by one in our front and backyard (oh, [...]

The Secret Garden

I just came across these incredible embroidered book covers by Canadian illustrator Jillian Tamaki thanks to a link on Broken Pencil’s website. Handmade!: A DIY Summer Camp

I came across this listing the other day for kids handmade day camps at the TMC…boy do I wish these existed when I was young! I know from experience that registration for workshops at the Textile Museum start very early and fill relatively fast– if you have a crafty kid, jump on this while you can! [...]

I am spotting circles around the city lately. Sometimes I find them placed neatly, all in a row. Other times they are randomly tossed together, or squeezed in over time. With circles and their infinite sides, the configurations are endless!

::::::::::::::::
Celine tells stories of life around her through her lens. She is also a lifestyle and wedding photographer based in [...]
