Listing Guidelines
Got a crafty item you’d like to have posted on the Alert? Great!
Please fill out the contact form to the left, keeping the guidelines below in mind:
- Each listing MUST be accompanied by an image. This policy was developed from reader feedback – your listing is much more likely to be read if it contains a visual element. Please include an image in jpeg, bmp, or gif format that does not exceed 500px in height or width. We cannot use images embedded in documents or PDFs.
- We prefer images directly related to your post, but if this is not available a product shot (with caption) if you are a maker of crafts, or a company logo will do. Please do not submit images you have not generated yourself unless you have received permission to use them for promotional purposes.
- Time sensitive listings should be submitted AT LEAST ONE WEEK before the occasion (two weeks is best). This should allow time for the event to be posted on the blog. If you would like the listing to appear in our newsletter, please submit two weeks before the event.
- Please be sure to include an email address (or other contact info) where you can be reached in the body of your listing, if you are seeking a response from readers. It is always a good idea to include your website address as well.
- You will be contacted within 3 days of your submission to confirm that it was received – if you don’t hear anything, please write us at torontocraftalert@gmail.com to ensure that your listing made it to us!
- Once your listing is posted, please check back periodically as readers sometimes comment with questions.
