This contest is open to ALL elementary, high school and college/university students!
Here is what you need to do:
*Draw a prom dress, featuring fabric with a print designed by YOU. Your print can include drawings, found images, whatever! Or a combination of these things.
*Mail or email your submission to Peach Berserk to arrive by Thursday April 15th, along with proof of current school attendance.
*Winners announced Thursday April 22nd.

fabric for sale!!!
I’ve got some really gorgeous, quilt quality, 100%cotton fabrics for sale. much is from one designer but also have some other stuff (nice nylon for windbreakers, 100% cotton denim, 100% cotton interlock and more). I will sell it for the wholesale prices I paid and only by the bolt.

Screen printing Workshop With Sharon Epstein
This exciting course gives an insight into the skills of silkscreen printing onto a variety of fabrics and papers. You will learn how to translate your ideas into prints through stencils and preparing , exposing images onto screens utilizing water based materials. This course is designed for those who enjoy experimentation and new methods of using color, texture and a variety of print techniques and processes.
All levels of experience are welcome.

We’ve been getting some great press for City of Craft 2009, and so far my favourite piece has been this article and video piece* about gift wrap, history and waste by Toronto Star (and City of Craft alumni!) Chantal Braganza. Chantal invited our vendors to demo some eco-DIY approaches to wrapping holiday gifts, and Tanya Roberts (Snap & Tumble), Reva Quam (Mr. Skona), and Becky Johnson (sweetie pie press) delivered. Dear craft art lovers,
Just a quick heads up to let you know that the installation and exhibition aspect of City of Craft 2009 has officially begun. At the moment 2 of the 14 (that’s right, 14) installations are available for public consumption.
