<p><em>This just in (to me, at least!): Tomorrow night the AGO, the Canadian  Filmmakers Distribution Centre will present a screening of Joyce  Wieland&#8217;s film works in celebration of the launch of her DVD box set.   If you aren&#8217;t familiar with her fantastic experimental films, some of  you may know of the famous &#8220;<a href="http://www.cbc.ca/arts/photoessay/that60s-show/index.html">Reason over Passion</a>&#8221;  quilted cotton wall hanging which Pierre Trudeau bought and hung on the  wall of his home (that being his personal motto).  Even Wieland&#8217;s film  works are decidedly crafty as she [...]]]></description>

<p><a href="http://GirlCanCreate.com">GirlCanCreate.com</a> and the Fox Theatre are hosting a local art and craft show on November 21st. From 10am-4pm we will showcase the work of local artisans and at 4:30pm we&#8217;ll be screening Handmade Nation, a documentary on the burgeoning craft movement (<a href="http://www.handmadenationmovie.com">http://www.handmadenationmovie.com</a>).</p>
<p>The craft show is free and the film is only $6 for member and $8 for non-members.</p>
<p>So come out on November 21st get your Christmas shopping done early, all while supporting the local artisans.</p>

<p><strong>Who’s Emma</strong> was considered a social experiment, an autonomous zone, a record shop, a bookstore and a “cool” place for youth to congregate in Toronto&#8217;s Kensington Market. <p>I&#8217;m happy to announce my first <strong>Super 8mm Film Workshop</strong>!<br />
This is a no-to-low profit endeavor with the goal of getting people out together mixing it up with some art and fun.</p>
<p>What is Super 8mm film? Well first off, it&#8217;s film &#8211; like &#8220;movies&#8221; film &#8211; it comes in a cartridge, it gets developed &#8211; it&#8217;s not video &#8211; it is projected onto a screen and it is silent.</p>
