CRAFT SHOW: Movies & Makers at the Fox Theatre (November 21)

GirlCanCreate.com and the Fox Theatre are hosting a local art and craft show on November 21st. From 10am-4pm we will showcase the work of local artisans and at 4:30pm we’ll be screening Handmade Nation, a documentary on the burgeoning craft movement (http://www.handmadenationmovie.com).

The craft show is free and the film is only $6 for member and $8 for non-members.

So come out on November 21st get your Christmas shopping done early, all while supporting the local artisans.

In just 2 short days Handmade Nation will be screening at The Lennox Contemporary Gallery at 7pm, followed by a Craft Chat that everyone is invited to join at 8.30.

There are still some tickets left at the Ontario Crafts Council Gallery, and the box office will open for sales at 6:15 with the doors opening at 6:30.

This sounds like a neat-o approach to animation – apparently these Incubators match a show-and tell/sharing of knowledge between animators and wannabe animators with instruction on how to make DIY films by painting, drawing or scratching directly onto old film stock (otherwise known as cameraless animation).
