CRAFT SHOW: m.a.d.e. in the wintertime

I finally made it out to my first m.a.d.e. show in the springtime and really enjoyed the unique combo of art and craft on offer at this bi-annual affair.

Next weekend’s show promises an opportunity to meet clothing designers, ceramicists, furniture designers, gallery artists, and other artisans, “who believe in a vision that speaks both to themselves as well as the end user, integrating both traditional techniques and modern technology to bridge the gap between art and function”.

Have you guys checked out MOB Collection? This is a great online shop/travelling salon-style show featuring the excellent work of mainly Toronto-based designers.

If you are new to MOB and want to learn more about them/their designers come on out to their next show on Wed. December 5th (more details below). This is an “encore” show as they held a preview/sale for thier regular customers a few weeks ago and they’d like to open it up to a wider audience.
