Hey guys,
Just popping in to make sure you all know that City of Craft, a show near and dear to my heart, is coming up this weekend. Now in it’s 6th year, the show is gonna be a juicy one with 2 additional venues nearby housing the most vendors ever (70!). I’ve been following the Pinterest board and the City of Craft blog gift guides in earnest and saving my shekels so that I can take home a few handmade goodies.
If you’ve never made it out to the show before, here are some pics [...]

I posted a couple of years ago about the tradition of pysanky and if you haven’t tried it yet this workshop series hosted by Kosa Kolektiv is a great opportunity to learn the craft while supporting a worthy cause. PLUS look how cute this poster is. AND, how awesome is the mandate of this collective (see below)? Makes me wish I still lived in Toronto so I could crash their cute folk girl party.

Last week, I attended a screening there, where I learned about these great little Valentine’s-oriented workshops happening within the next few weeks, held in partnership with awesome locals Preloved and The Japanese Paper Place. Recent days have been filled with holiday baking and candy making, trying to ready our very unfinished (and apocalyptically messy) house for hosting a big Christmas Eve family dinner, and getting a room ready for a first visit to our first [...]

Soy candles by Amy’s Place
Crafternoon Tea was the very first craft show I sold at in Toronto, and as someone who loves tea, tea-related treats, and customers with a geniune appreciation for handmade works, it was a great experience for me. Now in its 7th year, CT is still bringing sweet treats and handmade holiday goodness to the east end. Read on for details, and check out the poster at the bottom for a primer on independent holiday shows happening all over [...]
