There is a long history of quilting in Maryland, from the Amish quilts of Southern Maryland to the spectacular Baltimore album quilts of the 1800s. I spotted a few quilts at the Reginald F. Attention gifted artisans! Freedom Clothing Collective would like to open their doors to home decor. The non-profit cooperative is looking for all sorts of useful items you would use to embellish your home, such as ceramics, candles, shower curtains, rugs, tea towels, bowls, quilts, etc. Keep in mind, these items not only need to be aesthetically pleasing but we urge that they be eco friendly in nature and either made or reworked locally.

Yarn Bombing at the Textile Museum of Canada
Hello Fellow Yarn Bombers,
We are excited to announce a special project we’re working on with the Textile Museum of Canada. As patrons of the museum we’ve noticed that there is fairly low visibility from street. After talking with one of the museum Board Chairs, and observing the many city bike racks and planter in front of the museum we decided that it would be fun to form a crew and “yarn bomb” the racks and planter.
