The folks at My Favorite Mirror are getting together what may prove to be an invaluable resource for indie makers – a “comprehensive guide to help those independent business owners specializing in handmade and/or small-scale goods grow their wholesale business in leaps and bounds”.

Came accross something interesting in the latest instant coffee dispatch: Arts Vote, an inititative to inform municipal government about arts-related issues and to suss out the candidates’ attitudes towards the arts so that we can be armed with that knowledge, come voting day. Sadly the response to their 2006 survey was lacking, but there is still time for us to bug the slacker candidates in our wards. Arts Vote invite us to, “let [truant candidates] know that you share in our disappointment, and encourage them to respond”.
