In a Canadian Art History class last year, I was lucky to learn about the Inuit printmakers of Cape Dorset, on Dorset Island in Nunavut. Cape Dorset is known as the “Capital of Inuit Art,” and is well known for its rich history of stone lithography, drawing, carving and handicraft. GET SCHOOLED: Chair Caning & Seat Weaving Classes (starting March 21, 2011)
